Often we rise in the ranks from working in the warehouse and suddenly find ourselves over our heads in enterprise purchasing and planning. I know that walking out of school with my Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, I went to work as a Slot Coordinator, optimizing a massive warehouse. I had nothing in my background that would help me understand the inner workings of the warehouse other than to just dive in.
I am guessing I am not the only one to experience this. Even after getting my Masters of Business Administration I was only slightly closer to understanding Supply Chain Management. No Supply Chain Management Certification was available to me, but now MIT has opened their curriculum to the masses, so you and I can take advantage of the experience of world class education.
I have to warn you though, classes start soon, so you should take action today to sign up for this incredible opportunity!
